Aleko Stoyanov, Bulgaria in the Context of the European Migrant Crisis - Challenges and Perspectives Das vorliegende Heft beginnt mit Beiträgen zur aktuellen Migration im Jahr 2015, untersucht in weiteren Texten historische Migrationsbewegungen und stellt abschließend spezifische Aspekte der Migration zwischen Ost und West dar. Trotz der unterschiedlichen Fragestellungen, die den Untersuchungen zugrunde liegen, wird deutlich: Aus welchen Gründen auch immer sich Menschen entschließen, ihre ursprüngliche Heimat zu verlassen - stets verbinden sie damit die Hoffnung, an einem anderen Ort eine bessere Lebensgrundlage zu finden.
